This design was made as the first in our collection with the purpose of demonstrating integrated disabled characters within the community. Rather than demonstrating disabled individuals within the scene as objects of pity, medical intervention, inspiration, fear, curiosity, or wonder, this scene celebrates disabled characters as vital and integral community members. Our intention is that this shirt sparks new conversations about disability and inclusion with the children in your lives.
We design our prints with the intention to spark discussion about topics that are important to us. We hope that these prints will spread positivity and ignite conversations in all the spaces that you dwell.
This artwork was designed and illustrated by Hannah Abbo.
